Privacy Policy
Effective date: October 28, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains what information is collected when you visit https://triedandpicked.com (the “Site”), how it is used and shared, and the choices and rights you have. We have tried to keep it short, plain, and accurate.
1. Who We Are
The Site, TriedAndPicked, is operated by BHJ E, LLC, a Utah limited liability company (“TriedAndPicked,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). BHJ E, LLC is responsible for the personal information described in this policy. You can reach us using the details in Section 15.
2. The Short Version
- We do not use analytics, advertising pixels, or tracking scripts on the Site today, and the Site itself does not set cookies.
- Our hosting and security provider, Cloudflare, processes basic technical data (such as your IP address and browser type) to deliver the Site and protect it from attacks.
- If you click an affiliate link, the affiliate network (such as CJ or ClickBank) may set its own cookies to credit us for a sale. Those cookies are governed by the network’s privacy policy.
- When our email newsletter opens, we will collect your email address only if you sign up, and you can unsubscribe at any time.
- We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for targeted advertising.
3. Information We Collect
a. Technical information processed when you visit (server and CDN logs)
The Site is a static website delivered through Cloudflare, Inc., a content delivery network (CDN) and security provider. As with almost any website, when your browser requests a page, Cloudflare automatically processes technical information such as:
- Your IP address (which can indicate your approximate location);
- Browser type and version, operating system, and device type (the “user agent”);
- The page or file requested, the referring page, and the date and time of the request;
- Security-related signals used to detect bots, abuse, and attacks.
This information is used to deliver the Site, keep it fast and available, and protect it against spam, bots, and attacks. Cloudflare may set strictly necessary security cookies (for example, to tell humans from bots) when needed for those purposes. We do not use this information to build profiles of visitors or to advertise to you. Cloudflare’s handling of this data is described in its Privacy Policy.
b. Affiliate network cookies (when you click through to a retailer)
Some links on the Site are affiliate links. We currently participate in programs offered by CJ (Commission Junction) and ClickBank. When you click one of these links, you are sent through the network’s tracking link to the merchant’s site, and the affiliate network and/or merchant may set cookies or use similar technologies on their domains. These record that you arrived from TriedAndPicked so we can be credited if you make a purchase (ClickBank, for example, credits purchases made within a set period after a click).
These cookies are not set by our Site, and the information they collect is governed by the network’s and merchant’s own policies:
- CJ: Privacy at CJ
- ClickBank: ClickBank Privacy Policy
The networks generally report to us aggregated or transaction-level information such as clicks, sales, products, order amounts, and commissions. We do not receive your name, payment details, or shipping address from them. See our Affiliate Disclosure for more about our affiliate relationships. You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings, although doing so may prevent us from being credited for a referral.
c. Email newsletter (once it opens)
We plan to offer an optional email newsletter (“Get our picks by email”). This sign-up is not active yet. When it opens, if you choose to subscribe, we will collect:
- Your email address;
- The date and time you signed up and confirmed, and the page you signed up from (to keep a record of your consent);
- Basic email engagement data our email provider may collect, such as whether a message was delivered, opened, or clicked, and unsubscribe requests.
We will use an email service provider to store the list and send messages; we will name that provider in this policy when the newsletter launches.
d. Information you send us
If you email us, we will receive your email address, name (if you include it), and anything in your message. We use it only to respond and to keep a record of the conversation.
e. What we do not collect
We do not run analytics, ad pixels, or third-party scripts on the Site today. We do not have accounts, comments, or live forms. We do not collect payment information; purchases happen on retailers’ sites. We do not knowingly collect sensitive information (such as health or financial account information).
4. How We Use Information
We use the information described above to:
- Deliver, maintain, and secure the Site, and prevent fraud, spam, and abuse;
- Earn and reconcile affiliate commissions (through reports from affiliate networks);
- Send the newsletter to people who sign up for it, and honor unsubscribe requests;
- Respond to messages and requests, including privacy requests;
- Comply with law, enforce our Terms of Use, and protect our rights and the rights of others.
We will not use your information for purposes materially different from these without telling you and, where required, asking for your consent.
5. We Do Not Sell Your Personal Information
We do not sell personal information, and we do not “share” personal information for cross-context behavioral (targeted) advertising, as those terms are defined under U.S. state privacy laws. We have not done so in the past 12 months. We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of anyone under 16.
6. How We Share Information
We share personal information only as follows:
- Service providers that help us run the Site and newsletter, such as our hosting/CDN and security provider (Cloudflare) and, once the newsletter launches, our email service provider. They may use the information only to provide services to us, under contractual limits.
- Affiliate networks and merchants. When you click an affiliate link, the network and merchant collect information directly as described in Section 3(b). We do not send them your email address or other personal information we hold.
- Legal and safety reasons. If we believe in good faith it is required by law, subpoena, or court order, or needed to protect the rights, property, or safety of BHJ E, LLC, our users, or others.
- Business transfers. If the Site or BHJ E, LLC is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to this policy.
- With your consent or at your direction.
7. Cookies, Do Not Track, and Global Privacy Control
The Site itself does not set cookies. Cloudflare may set strictly necessary security cookies, and affiliate networks set their own cookies when you click through to a merchant, as described above.
Global Privacy Control (GPC). We do not sell or share personal information, so there is nothing to opt out of today. Even so, we treat a GPC signal from your browser as a valid request to opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information and of targeted advertising, and we will continue to honor it if we ever add tools that would otherwise involve those activities. Because the networks’ cookies are set on their own domains, you can also limit them through your browser’s cookie settings.
Do Not Track. There is no common industry standard for “Do Not Track” browser signals. Because we do not track visitors across websites, we do not change our practices in response to them.
8. How Long We Keep Information
- Server/CDN logs: We do not keep our own separate visitor logs. Cloudflare retains logs and security data for limited periods under its own policies.
- Newsletter data: Kept while you are subscribed. If you unsubscribe, we stop emailing you and may keep your email address on a suppression list so we do not email you again by mistake, plus records of consent for as long as needed to show compliance.
- Emails and privacy requests: Kept as long as needed to respond and for a reasonable period afterward for our records, generally no longer than 24 months unless needed longer for legal reasons.
- Affiliate reports: Kept as long as needed for accounting and tax purposes.
9. Security
We use reasonable administrative and technical measures to protect information, including serving the Site over encrypted HTTPS and using Cloudflare’s security protections. Our static site design also means we collect very little information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. Children’s Privacy (COPPA)
The Site is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13, consistent with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). If we learn we have collected personal information from a child under 13, we will delete it. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us at contact@triedandpicked.com.
11. Your Privacy Rights (U.S. State Residents)
Depending on where you live, state privacy laws (such as those in Utah, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Texas, and other states) may give you rights over your personal information. These laws may not all apply to a business of our size, but we extend the following rights to all U.S. residents:
- Access / know: Ask what personal information we have about you and receive a copy.
- Deletion: Ask us to delete personal information we have about you.
- Correction: Ask us to correct inaccurate personal information.
- Opt out: Opt out of the sale of personal information, targeted advertising, and profiling (we do not do these today). You can unsubscribe from emails at any time using the link in every email.
- Non-discrimination: We will not treat you differently for exercising your rights.
How to make a request. Email us at contact@triedandpicked.com with the subject line “Privacy Request,” tell us which right you want to exercise, and include the email address or other information we should search for. You may also write to us at BHJ E, LLC, c/o Anderson Registered Agents, Inc., 299 S Main St, Ste 1300, Salt Lake City, UT 84111. To protect you, we may need to verify your identity, usually by confirming control of the email address in question, before acting on a request. We will respond within 45 days, and may extend that by another 45 days where permitted by law if we tell you why.
Authorized agents. You may use an authorized agent to make a request for you. We may ask for proof of the agent’s authority and verify your identity directly.
Appeals. If we decline your request, you may appeal by replying to our decision or emailing contact@triedandpicked.com with the subject line “Privacy Appeal.” We will respond to appeals within the time required by law. If you are not satisfied, you may contact your state attorney general.
12. Visitors from the EEA, UK, and Switzerland
If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, BHJ E, LLC is the controller of your personal data. We rely on these legal bases:
- Legitimate interests to deliver and secure the Site (technical log data) and to respond to messages;
- Consent to send the newsletter (you can withdraw consent at any time by unsubscribing) and, where required, for non-essential cookies;
- Legal obligation where we must keep or disclose information under law.
You have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to our processing of your personal data, to data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time. Contact us at contact@triedandpicked.com to exercise these rights. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority (in the UK, the Information Commissioner’s Office).
We are based in the United States, and your information is processed in the U.S. and other countries where our service providers operate. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for these transfers, such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses or our providers’ participation in the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework.
13. Third-Party Sites
The Site links to retailers, merchants, affiliate networks, and other third-party sites. We are not responsible for their privacy practices. Please review the privacy policy of any site you visit.
14. Changes to This Policy
We will update this policy when our practices change, for example when the newsletter launches or if we add analytics. We will post the updated policy on this page and change the “Effective date” above. If a change is material, we will give more prominent notice (for example, on the Site or by email to subscribers) and, where required by law, ask for your consent.
